  • Download the Transcript Label and attach to all academic transcripts that will be posted to the Postgraduate College, Obafemi Awolowo University (this is REQUIRED).
  • The application form is not completed until the applicant accepts accepted the "Declaration Section" and receives an email confirming the receipt of the application form by the Postgraduate College.
  • After completing your application, candidates should monitor the progress of their application packages on the application portal.

The Candidates should request their former Universities/Institutions to forward their academic transcript(s) to the “Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies”, within the application period. Applications of candidates whose transcripts are not forwarded to the school shall not be processed. Referees Reports:

Candidates should ensure that their referee reports are delivered to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies. Applications shall not be processed unless the referee reports are available.

 

Obafemi Awolowo University Postgraduate School Entry Requirements:

General requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Letters, Philosophy or Science or an acceptable equivalent from an approved University. An academic standing of a minimum of second class lower division or a grade point average of B (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) is required for admission

 

Master’s Degree

  • A second-class upper division (Bachelor’s Degree)

 

Doctorate Degree

  • A MPhil or Master’s degree with research thesis in appropriate field and at least 60% (B+) weighted average in the Masters coursework for admission to Doctorate degree.

Hello Macualay, Application is open to graduates of Obafemi Awolowo University with a minimum of Second Class Lower in Statistics or cognate discipline. Graduates of any other recognized university with a minimum of Second Class Lower degree, and those who hold an approved qualification in Sciences, Social Sciences or any professional certification such as Associate Member of Society of Actuaries (SOA), Associate member of Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) adjudged to be equivalent to a first degree with mathematical background may be considered. In exceptional cases candidates from OAU with third class degree may be considered under certain conditions as stipulated in the regulations governing postgraduate studies. However, other candidates in the same category with at least 7 years post qualification experience may also be considered. Thanks
